Meet Dr. Patricia DeForest

Patricia K. DeForest, DO, MAEd, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician with over 30 years of experience dedicated to the care and development of children. As both a physician and former educator, she brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to pediatric healthcare.

Dr. DeForest earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, and returned to her home state of Texas to complete her residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Palliative and Hospice Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Her experience includes caring for medically complex children and pediatric palliative care, practicing general pediatrics in rural communities, and caring for children with autism, complex ADHD, and a wide range of mental health needs.

Before entering medicine, Dr. DeForest spent more than two decades in education as a classroom teacher and educational specialist—experience that deeply informs her approach to caring for the whole child, both medically and developmentally.

Driven by a desire to offer families more time, attention, and meaningful support, Dr. DeForest founded CREATIVE CARE PEDIATRIC HEALTH & WELLNESS.
